The Empty Chair

Sometimes learning how to fly again
is meant to start at ground level.

Sometimes finding the right conversation
needs to begin in a room with an empty chair.

Sometimes to form the right words
we need to start by speaking them alone.

Sometimes to move from the empty chair
We simply need to stand and start again.

About DiAnne Ebejer

I am retired and live on the East coast of Florida where I spend much of my time reading, playing with photography and trying to write some "poetry and then some" at dianneebejer.wordpress.com. I care deeply about many things and wish there was much more love and compassion in this world today. I also have a part time blog "Thought You Might Like This" diannesthingsat.wordpress.com used for special projects and occasional things of interest

  3. So true DiAnne. I love the simple truth of this poem, the minimalism of the photos is reflected by your choice of words. I am always starting again, it seems. maybe this is a good thing. Although, some might disagree.
