Memory Soup

Memory Soup 10.28.17 AM

Even life’s happiest or most punishing memories fade and blend,

Replays in my mind begin to blur and take new form.

This gives me pause to wonder,

Do I really remember anything as it really happened?

Have I embellished happy stories into fairy tales?

Drama tellings into movie material?

Perhaps I’ve stirred life’s memories

into one big pot of memory soup,

all of my own making?  🙂
